Mrs. Nuvolini is a lifelong Catholic who has lived in Colorado Springs nearly all her life. She has been involved in the city’s Catholic schools since 1979 as a student, parent, and teacher. She taught 5th grade at Corpus Christi for 13 years and then moved to middle school (grades 5-8), where she taught literature and religion for 4 years.
Mrs. Nuvolini holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and History from the University of Colorado and a Master of Education in Reading from Regis University. She has held her Colorado professional teacher license in elementary education since 2003.
She is the recipient of the Christ the Teacher Award from the Diocese of Colorado Springs and the Golden Apple Award from Regis University. Her Catholic teaching philosophy is inspired by Saint Teresa of Calcutta who taught that we should not allow ourselves to be disheartened by any failure as long as we have done our best.
