Laura Rago brings a varied background to her role as a first grade teacher at our classical Catholic school. Her passion for supporting children has always been a key driver in her career.
Before transitioning to education, Laura served as a Communications Manager with Fostering Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to providing stability, connections, and enrichment to foster children in El Paso County.
Prior to her work at Fostering Hope, Laura retired from El Paso County after 24 years of service. As the Chief Deputy County Attorney, she led a team of attorneys and paralegals in representing the El Paso County Department of Human Services, focusing on cases involving abused and neglected children.
This is Laura’s third year teaching first grade, having obtained her alternative licensure through the Institute of Catholic Liberal Education in the Spring of 2024. She is excited to bring her unique experiences and a deep commitment to Catholic education to her classroom.
Outside of school, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and their two adult children. She also loves baking and reading, activities that bring joy and relaxation into her life.
