Kristen Calvani is a wife and mother of three young children. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and attended Indiana University for her bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences. Kristen has a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Vanderbilt University. She has been practicing as a speech-language pathologist for 15 years. She began her career at The Children’s Hospital of Colorado in Denver working with children with traumatic brain injury and severe neurological impairments. She has worked with children from birth to age 18 in schools and children’s hospitals across the country. Her husband was in the Navy and she has lived in 6 states. One of Kristen’s favorite jobs was teaching undergraduate coursework in the School of Education at Loyola University in Chicago.
Kristen enjoys reading and spending time with her family. They like to go on hikes, swim, camp and travel. Kristen is thrilled to be joining the staff at St. Gabriel Classical Academy and for her children to attend the school. She believes in the importance of sharing the good and the beautiful with children and her number one goal as a mother is to teach her children to have a relationship with God in order to share eternity with Him in heaven.
