John grew up in Northern California but is a third-generation Colorado teacher. Previously he taught science and religion in Catholic and public high schools and has experience in Catholic classrooms in Ecuador, Ukraine, and Spain. John holds a B.S. in geological and environmental sciences with honors in ethics from Stanford University; a masters in regional planning from UNC Chapel Hill; a masters in Education from National University; and holds a California secondary teaching credential. He is a dual citizen of USA and Spain and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters outdoors.
