Alyssa Revels is excited to teach middle school English this year! Originally from Colorado, she earned her Bachelor of Science in English from the United States Air Force Academy in 2012. She traveled the world as a Force Support Officer and met her husband, Allen, while they were both serving on active duty. After attending the University of New Mexico to pursue her Master of Arts in English Language and Literature, Alyssa returned to Colorado and taught various English courses at the Air Force Academy. She and her husband transitioned into the Air Force Reserves in 2022, and she continues to teach an intensive literature course to cadets each summer as part of her new military role. Now a full-time English instructor, Alyssa recently taught juniors and seniors at a local college prep high school. She is overjoyed to combine her love of language and literature with her Catholic faith in a classical liberal arts school.
Alyssa and Allen have been part of the SGCA family since the beginning and will have two of their sons attending Preschool this year. Alyssa believes that working in partnership with our amazing Catholic community, we can lead our children to love learning, to think critically, and to challenge themselves in new ways both academically and as future Catholic leaders.
