We are first and foremost, dedicated to our mission of "creating future saints" with the guiding foundation of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
We combine the Catholic and Classical curricula to result in an excellent personal and academic experience that educates the whole child. We believe that children are more than their standardized test scores. We are teaching students how to develop critical thinkers which benefits them now and in the future. Students who have learning difficulties participate in our St. Joseph of Cupertino program. For grade-specific curriculum, see below.
Standardized testing is not a core focus of our education, meaning we do not "teach for the test". We do find periodic assessments to be helpful in gauging progress and aptitude. Students in K-3 are administered benchmark testing in reading and in math four times a year. Students in grades 4-8 annually take the Classic Learning Test (CLT). The emphasis is on reading, grammar, and mathematics using classic literature and historical texts for its reading selections. The CLT is a comprehensive measure of foundational critical thinking skills and aptitude.
